Let’s empower your child with the right tools.
Our tutors are specially trained in the Orton-Gillingham method proven to help students of all ages with dyslexia and reading challenges overcome their struggles in school.
How to get started:
-
Give us a call (231-929-1007) or fill out the contact form below. Our director Vicki Norris will talk with you about your child’s needs and current struggles, understand your concerns, and explain our screening and tutoring process.
-
GTDA does not diagnosis for dyslexia, nor do we require a diagnosis to work with students. Vicki will conduct an in-person “screening” assessment with your child to determine their current reading level, and create a specialized tutoring plan.
-
Vicki will then match your child with one of our excellent Orton-Gillingham certified tutors. Most students tutor once or twice a week, and usually continue through summer break.
-
Typically within months, our students transform from discouraged to confident as they begin to crack the code on their unique learning style. We will continue to tutor your child as long as they need.
